- How do I earn the Advanced Project Management Certificate?
- Do I need to apply to the program or Portland
State University to take these courses?
No. Just register for one or more courses and begin. You have three years to complete the program once you've begun, but most students take just three to six months.
- Do I have to take the four required
certificate courses in sequence?
No, but we encourage you to do so.
- Can I take any of these courses individually?
Yes, all courses are available individally.
You are under no obligation to complete the whole program.
- What does noncredit course mean?
Our courses do not give academic credit that can be used toward earning a degree. Our courses offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs), which are useful for earning or retaining professional certifications of all kinds.
- What other costs should be expected?
For example, are textbooks and a laptop required?
There are no other costs besides course fees. Books or other course materials are included in course fees and supplied at class. Laptop computers are not necessary for this program.
- What happens if I miss class time?
You may miss up to three hours of any course and still successfully complete that course without making up time. If you miss more than three hours, you must make up that additional time to successfully complete the course. You can make up time in a future offering of that course or meet with your instructor to get an assignment for making up that time on your own.
- Is there a required pre-class
reading list or assignment?
No. However, you are encouraged to learn
more about project management in general. Check out
