Champion Certificate
Proper project identification and selection is critical to Six Sigma success.
Champion Seminar focuses on teaching deployment leaders how to identify potential
projects, select the ones with the best potential for success, foresee potential
project obstacles and set realistic expectations that ultimately drive financial
results.
Green Belt Certificate
Six Sigma Green Belts are the first layer of practitioners in your Six Sigma
initiative. Six Sigma Green Belts are trained to utilize fundamental Six Sigma
tools to improve processes, within his or her function-specific area of the
organization, typically in their respective department or unit. This focus
allows the Green Belt to work on small, carefully defined Six Sigma projects,
requiring less than a Black Belt’s full-time commitment to Six Sigma
throughout the organization. Six Sigma Green Belts are equipped to establish
basic measurement processes, collect and analyze data to establish causes for
process failures, use proven methods to improve the process and establish
mechanisms to ensure sustainability of the gains.
Black Belt Certificate
The Black Belt series is open to anyone who has earned their Green Belt
Certificate at PSU or the equivalent and is interested in adding to their
Six Sigma skills to increase the ability to contribute to the continuous
improvement of an organization's effectiveness working independently,
leading project teams and coaching others in the effective application of
Six Sigma methods.
LEAN Certificate
Although continuous quality programs have been used with some success for
quite a number of years, Lean Process Improvement, modeled on the Toyota
Process System (TPS), makes available to today’s companies/organizations
the most comprehensive system yet for reducing cost and installing quality
across the entire company. This half day seminar will cover the basic
components of installing Lean in a department, program or project from how
to map the process flow using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to how to conduct
a Kaizen or Quality event at your company.
